Allow me to introduce myself...

Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Anna, oh... A to the double N - A! Lame, I know.
Also know as ShhGrr {sug.ar} Hence the name of my blog.

When I saw the picture above on my iPad, as well as the conversation I had with my friend, Sophia, about blogging, I decided that I wanted to start one back up. I've had a few back in the day. A livejournal, a xanga... but all have withered away. I started a blogger a few years ago: shhgrr.blogspot.com, but I was busy with life. That withered away as well. So here I am on a new blog journey. Let's see if I can keep it up to date with anything interesting in my life.

Currently I'm working as a server in a major casino on the strip. I only have six more working days of work left!!! Why you ask? Well... I gave my two weeks notice. My last day is technically May 11th. But I have to use up vacation hours that I have remaining before I leave. So that's why I only have six more shifts left. Which is perfectly fine because within the next two weeks I have three huge papers due and the third week of May, I HAVE FINALS! Eeek! I'm sweating as I think about it.

Mike and I at a Frozen Fury game at MGM.
Our favorite hockey team, the LA KINGS, played against the Colorado Avalanche.

Along with work and school, I am also planning a move to Portland, OR with my fiance, Mike. It is quite stressful so far because we're having no luck finding a place. We have missed two great opportunities for potential rental homes. It's all right. I'm not going to let it affect me. I'm going to think positive. God has plans for us. I just hope he has a plan for us to find a home before we move out there at the end of May.

I'm new to the whole Craiglist experience so I've already had some weird encounters.

1. I emailed a property inquiring about the listing and they responded saying they were in Sweden for work, but then they also mentioned they were at a Christian retreat in Africa. Red flag. Fraud posting.

2. I posted a housing want ad and I received a reply for a home in a very rural area and she could only talk to me about the property through the phone. Through "voice" as she put it. No thanks! We'll definitely pass.

Here is our Craiglist housing want AD. We received two bites from it,
a legitimate one and a sketchy one.

The Craigslist want ads last for two days, I believe. I'm going to just keep re-posting it until someone responds with a great property for us to live in. I hope something comes up soon. Till next time. Be {sweet like shhgrr} to one another.
